A two-headed goat has met a gruesome end in the hands, (or hoofs) of its mother just days after its birth.
The little animal was born with two heads which were joined along the skull. This birth defect was stipulated to have been caused by some genetic imbalance.
The tiny animal was flourishing - and had even been feeding from its mother - when its short life was suddenly ended. Its mother most probably trampled it to death 'out of fear', despite previously allowing it to feed from her.
The owner of the farm, Galymzhan Uteuliev explained: "I was shocked when I saw it for the first time. I'd never seen anything like this before."
He said: "Its mother was scared of it and eventually killed it herself by trampling over it.
Uteuliev added: "There are very few male goats in the area, so there is a strong chance that the mother and father are closely related."
But before the farmer could decide what to do about the freakish kid, nature intervened and its mother trampled it do death in her stall.
