This Coffee Shop Bills Your Tea According to You Level of Politeness

A very funny advert that is meant to force the habit of politeness on people has gone viral. In the Ad, the more polite you are, the lesser you have to pay for your coffee or tea.

Sign at a local coffee shop
The sign outside CUPS Coffee & Tea in the Grandin Village district of Roanoke went viral after a photo of the sign was shared on Reddit.

The sign reads:

"Small coffee"
$5.00

"Small coffee, please"

$3.00

"Hello, one small coffee please."

$1.75

The sign was created Sunday by cafe worker Austin Simms.

"I decided because I need to solve all the injustices of the world to start charging more for people who didn't take the time to say hello and connect and realize we're all people behind the counter," Simms told WDBJ-TV.

CUPS Coffee & Tea owner Olivia Byrd confirmed the pricing on the sign is only meant as a joke and no one has been charged $5 for a small coffee.
