A commercial flight made an unscheduled landing after a passenger tried to force his way into the cockpit, telling fellow travellers he wanted to fly the plane .

The incident happened just minutes after take-off, with dramatic footage from the aeroplane cabin showing the moment the apparently disturbed young man was subdued by other passengers and flight crew.

Just five minutes after take-off, the passenger reportedly began throwing money up into the air and yelled the words "I want to fly" repeatedly.

Shocked passengers watched as he then made a dash down the aisle and charged towards the cockpit doors in a violent attempt to enter the restricted area.
