A stranger stole a woman's car with her 11-month-old baby in the back before dumping him on a doorstep three miles away.
The 27-year-old mum had just stepped out of her black three-door Vauxhall Astra when the man jumped in the driving seat and sped off with her children inside.
The woman's 12-year-old daughter, who was also in the car , managed to escape the vehicle as he was driving away but her baby son was trapped inside.
Police said the little boy was discovered a short while later on the doorstep of a family in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire - three miles from where the car had been stolen in Enfield, north London.
He was not injured following the incident at about 12.45pm yesterday, while the vehicle was found abandoned nearby on Saturday.
